Internship Nedap Light Controls: implementation of connectivity in Ballast Water

Nedap Light Controls sets the benchmark in Smart UV driver technology. We have been in this market for over 25 years and our products are well-known for its reliability and performance. Our customers are active in various markets including water purification, digital printing and ballast water treatment (BWT). We combine our expertise in high power electronics with our knowledge of connected devices and software to support remote diagnostics, data analytics and user experience. We are currently looking for an intern that will focus on our BWT-proposition.

Wat ga je doen?

During the internship you will be performing a variety of tasks. You will execute desk-research and pro-actively get in touch with various stakeholders for qualitative research purposes. Your goal is to help us get a deeper understanding of the market for BWT systems and identify the key drivers of choice. In addition you are going to find out what the hot topics and use cases are concerning connectivity in the global shipping industry: what kinds of connected devices are currently being used and what problems do they solve? How you get the information needed, is up to you. Together we will fine-tune the assignment, but we want you to take the lead.

Wie zoeken we

You are:

  • currently studying at a Bachelor’s or Master’s level in the field of Business Administration (Innovation and Entrepreneurship), Industrial Engineering or Business Information Technology;
  • looking for an internship starting September 2018 until March 2019;
  • good at reading and writing in English;
  • strong in communication and
  • interested in the field of technology
